I am involved in a number of projects that I’m personally passionate about.
I am a Canadian representative of The Audiology Project which promotes public and professional understanding of critical illnesses involved with hearing loss and the importance of referrals for conditions that are correlated to or causally related to hearing loss such as diabetes, hypertension and many more. This is an extension of my work as the only audiology related College of Family Physicians of Canada vetted, certified continuing education provider nationally.
I am passionate about hearing aid funding in BC. The cost to the economy of hearing loss affecting a multitude of conditions including falls, dementia, mental health and living in place policies is staggering and if structured well and based on existing programs could change the face of BC for all ages.
